Lessons from the Little Lady

Some may Say Kylee has a SERIOUS gift for saying things that just make people laugh.  She is such a character!  Here are a few things I have written down that she has said over the last few months.

You know a little girl is VERY tired when she says, "Mom, can I just go to sleep without reading tonight?" I just love that little girl...she makes me smile. :)

We had just picked Tanner up from a friend's house and I guess he was tired and so he was laying down on the seat of the car. I heard Kylee's little voice say, "Tanner, Sweetheart you need to sit up." I guess she was worried for his safety. So cute, it made me SMILE!

Kylee made me smile this morning when Steve told me what she said last night to him as she was going to bed. Kylee - "Dad, don't move me into my bed tonight after I'm asleep." Steve - "Why?" Kylee - "Because I will just have to make my bed again tomorrow!" A girl after my own heart! So Funny!!!

Hope of America Program

Kendra, Kynsie and Tyler got a little bored waiting for the program to start.

Cute Sisters

Tootsie Pops helped them to be quiet.

Tanner performed in the Hope of America Program. If anyone hasn't seen it then you should go. It is such a good program put on by many different elementary schools from kids 4th to 6th grade. They sing all sorts of different songs about America and freedom. I just love that program. I love the song "This is America" I figured out the other day that I have seen this program put on by my kids about 14 times. I saw it with Katelin, Kynsie, Kendra, Tyler, and now Tanner and hopefully in a few years Kylee. It was so fun to watch it. The last song they do with flashlights and it is a very neat effect.

Such a good night and great program. Good Job Tanner!! :)

Kendra and all her fun dances and dates

Kendra and her friends getting ready to go ask their dates out for Morp.
Kendra and Josh on their MORP 2011 date with Holly and Spencer.
They had a pretty laid back, but fun date before going to the dance.  They went on bike rides, and had a picnic.  Following all that fun they went to the dance and then topped the night off with some delicious ice cream!

Here is the whole group of em!

Promenade

Kendra, Kynsie, and Tanner with their Kindergarten teacher from Grandview Mrs Hopkinsin

Kynsie with the lovely couple after making their big début down the staircase!

Tyler and his friends from student government who got to all dress up and "go to prom", to pass out refreshments.
Speaking of refreshments we as Kendra's family got to spend the majority of the day setting up, cleaning up, and taking care of everything for prom so she could go on a date and have a good time.  Lucky girl!  ;)   I think it turned out looking very beautiful!  Its hard for something not to though  when it is in something as beautiful as the the Library ballroom!

Here are a few of the details of Prom that you might not have noticed in the pictures above because their smiles were just both too cute.  Her ADORABLE cute shoes, and her hair that Kynsie did such a good job on!
and in true Rife family Tradition......The girls trying to pin it on, but in the end Steve putting on the boutonniere!

Kendra getting ready for the Valentines Dance 2011 and Kylee getting ready for her Princess Party
They both look just Lovely don't you think? :)

Valentines Day Group Date

AND, last but not least the Winter Dance 2010

Hoppy Easter

Kinley playing at Grandmas after Church, and doing an Easter egg hunt in the backyard!

Katelin and Kinley joined us for church this week so that we could show off Kylee and Kinleys matching Easter dresses.  It was very important to Kylee that they come for that reason! :)

Trying to get a few pictures of them, but Kinley was more interested in swinging and finding the eggs :)
How Cute are they though?!  Seriously!  I am SO glad that Kylee is able to have a little playmate, and have someone to share these kinds of things with.

Here Kylee is at the Easter Egg Hunt at Maceys grocery store. She also got to meet the Easter Bunny, and get her face painted but sadly I didn't get any pictures.  She sure did look cute with her face painted as a bunny! :)

Look at ALL the candy!!  Holy Cow! I just might have to steel a little... shhh.....
This is a letter that Kylee wrote to the Easter Bunny. If you cannot read it, it says,
" Dear Easter Bunny
Could you bring me a baby chick.
and you are my favorite bunny ever.
Love Kylee"
Kylee was not sure how to spell favorite so she had to ask Kynsie.  When doing so she said to Kynsie
" Dont tell Dad, or he will tell the Easter bunny not to bring the chick."
Right as she was saying that Steve walked into the Kitchen, where they were and she grabbed the paper and hid it under the counter.  She was BRIGHT red, and just couldnt hold back the giggles!
Steve said, "What do you have there Ky?"
and she responded by laughing and saying "Just give me a minuet okay?!"
after finishing the letter he ran over to see it.
Kylee then said, "Great!  Now he isnt going to bring the chick!!" and left the room.
It was cute!

We finally did get a cute picture of the 2 girls!

HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!

April Photoshoot

On April 3, it snowed. Kynsie came home that morning and said Mom I am taking the kids and we are going to go do a photoshoot before General Conference starts. These pictures turned out so cute! Kylee loves to pose and have her picture taken. So fun!

Brotherly Love

Kylee was laughing so hard when they were going into kiss her!

Kynsie LOVES her purple coat and wishes she had one exactly like it. I have to admit it looks cute against the white snow.

My little girl is growing up way to fast! She looks so old in this picture!!
